AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES
by Michael Weinberg Photography

Michael Weinberg, a professional photographer and graphic artist for over 20 years, has become Northeastern Pennsylvania’s aerial photographer of choice. Flying photographic missions out of the Tech Aviation Flight School based in the Wilkes-Barre / Scranton International Airoport, this “aerial scaper” has captured breathtaking aerial landscapes, cityscapes, architecture, agricultural and industrial sites from Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties, including extensive coverage of the Scranton – Clarks Summit area and the Poconos.

Aerial Photography Coverage Area in Eastern PennsylvaniaFlying mostly from Piper Cherokee aircraft, piloted by a Tech Aviation FAA certified flight instructor, which is capable of flying safely at speeds as low as 60 knots (70mph), Michael Weinberg produces colorful, razor sharp images by shooting at high shutter speeds using state of the art Canon professional Digital SLR cameras and EOS lenses.

After a typical photo flight, Michael Weinberg returns to his Clark Summit digital photography studio where he edits and color corrects the aerial photos on an 8-core Mac Pro Workstation, using Photoshop CS3 software. Within a day or two, the digital proof files are finished and uploaded into an internet thumbnail gallery. The customer then can select the photos needed and can order them as high quality web images or high resolution prints (mounted on matte, presentation board, glossy photographic, art paper, or canvas) up to 48" x 72". Delivery time for finished printed products is usually about a week.

The three things which drives Michael Weinberg the most is quality, value and service.

Why Aerial Photography?

Utilizing the airplane and heliopter, skilled aerial photographers are able to photograph scenes on the ground from the unique perspective of the sky above. The advantages of using this point of view from above has made aerial photography a favorite tool of realtors, construction companies, land developers, surveyors, traffic controllers, landscapers, government and law enforcement agencies. As a promotional tool, aerial photography provides a unique way to promote an event, a business or venue. It is not common to view the world from an aerial perspective and so an aerial image, by its nature, will draw attention to the object which you are promoting. Aerial Photography can show a property's proximity, closeness to major highways, freeways, secondary roads, parking, shopping and neighborhoods. In addition, Aerial images can be enlarged for easel presentations; to highlight street names, property lines and other pertinent information. From a realtor, an aerial image of a new homebuyer's home makes a great gift of thanks for the customer. Many civil lawyers have been helped by aerial photography. Traffic accident scenes and property lines are clearly viewed using aerials and the aerial photo can be just what is needed to prove the attorney's point in order to win the case. For those in the construction industry and for those who do municipal planning, aerial photography is an incredibly invaluable tool, where one can get a clear vertical image that shows an area as it looks now and not days, weeks, months or years ago. One can view an individual building or several city blocks at a time, or even get a view of an entire city or borough. And if you go back to the same site over the duration of several days or weeks, one can track the progress of a construction project. Typically, an aerial photographer can make bi-weekly, monthly or quarterly flights to document the progress of any given project.
